Cinema (Scala)

The cinema is a great place to go on “dates” with friends and others.
In the cinema there is a candy shop where you can buy.
pick ’n’ mix sweets, soda and popcorn.  
You buy tickets online or in the cinema. At the cinema Scala they play a lot of good
movies in their original language.
(If it’s english speaking there are danish subtitles) There are toilets and a nice seating
area. In the cinema there are 4 different rooms where you can watch movies.  
While you wait for the movie to start you can look at
upcoming movie posters.

Anlægget

The park is pretty, and it is a cozy park with small streams, lakes and even small waterfalls.
When you go to the park, you can
bring some bread to feed the many, almost tame, ducks in the lake.
If you are the type of person who runs, you should do it in
“Anlægget”. In the wintertime you can ice skate at the lakes, and in the summertime there are held
a lot of parties, and people
often tan in the sun. If you go to “Anlægget” at this time of the year, you can watch the
nature preparing for spring.

Here in Holstebro we have a library. The library is right beside the city hall. It isn't an ordinary library, there is a lot of interactive

things to do, and there is a lot of workshops and exhibits to see. When you enter you’ll see a big open space with lots of bookshelves. Just before you walk through the security gates there is a corridor with a vending machine and coffee maker, just make sure to have some DKK petty cash. If you walk up the stairs you’ll reach the 1. floor. Up there, you can have a nice seat, and play Xbox and PS4 or read some books. Right beside the stairs you can walk through an archway into the children's section. In there you can try the interactive floor which is very funny to use with friends.

Slagterigrunden

The slagterigrund is a place where young people go and meet. In english the Slagterigrund would be slaughterhouse

ground. A lot people knows where it is, so it's easy to say: do you want to meet at the slagteri ground, and then we can go somewhere. At the slaughterhouse ground there is a skating ground. It is illegal to skate other places in the city, so this is where all skaters meet in their spare time. There has just been a sculpture which also worked as a playground. In the night there were lights in the small globes. The ground is also used to things like this. Besides that, a lot of performances have taken place, both in the main building and skating hall. The slaughterhouse ground exists of a main building, which is a little high up, with some stairs up to. And then beside that there is the skating hall.
Indoor swimming pool (Badeland)

The indoor water park is a bit more for younger kids but it can also be nice to go to when you are a teenager. There are 7 pools and 2 saunas, and one big, and one small water slide. And there is also 2 spring boards. Last but not least there is a fast food cafe, that serves very nice sausage rolls and French fries. The price for a ticket costs DKK 57. on weekdays. In the weekend and on public holidays the price is DKK 75.

Music Theatre

The music theatre lays beside the royal ballet school. The reason why this is a beautiful place to see, is that at night, the building lights up. The lights change color, and is very beautiful.
The theatre is near the stream, and at christmas there is a big christmas tree, witch also lights up, that is really beautiful to look at. Besides that there are many good performances, for all ages. Most performances are role plays, but also dance and music finds.
