The sculpture of a hand
This sculpture is located at the church (Sognekirken) and is created by Hans Pauli Olsen in 2007.
It is made of granite and bronze
and is shaped like a big hand holding a model of the church.
Some say it’s the hand of God giving the church to the people.
The sculpture is pretty boring but you kinda have to see it.

Maren comes op from the earth
and “wakes up” from her sleep.

The citizens from Holstebro
The statue “The citizens from Holstebro” is made by the sculptor Bjørn Nørregaard.
It was given to the city by the Ny Carlsberg fond.
“The citizens from Holstebro” was set up in 2004.
The sculpture figures are castings of 12 citizens from Holstebro - six women and six men - who in the
future will tell about our time.
Just as Jesus' twelve disciples brought the testimony of a time that still employs us.
They’re located in Nørreport Torv and are very ugly.
If you feel bad about your look, take a look at them and you’ll feel a lot better.

The Water Art (grædemuren)
The Water Art is one of the most characteristic works of art in Holstebro.
The artpiece ordered by Holstebro Community and created by Helge Bertram.
The water art consists of two parallel walls, build in the water bassin in the northern part of Nørregade.
The pale turkis color is due to a row of experiments with glaze and technique of burning and
looks like the color of water hence the name came.
